Daria Morgendorffer

The show's protagonist. Daria is intelligent, sarcastic, and cynical. She navigates high school and family life with a dry wit and a strong sense of ethics.

Jane Lane

Daria's best friend and fellow outcast. Jane is an artist with a similarly sarcastic outlook on life, but tends to be more easygoing than Daria.

Quinn Morgendorffer

Daria's younger sister. Quinn is popular, fashion-obsessed, and often at odds with Daria's worldview. Despite this, the sisters occasionally show moments of understanding.

Helen Morgendorffer

Daria and Quinn's mother. A workaholic lawyer who tries to balance her high-powered career with family life, often with mixed results.

Jake Morgendorffer

Daria and Quinn's father. A well-meaning but often clueless dad who runs a struggling consulting business. Jake struggles with his own insecurities and unresolved issues from his strict upbringing.

Trent Lane

Jane's older brother and the lead singer of Mystik Spiral. Trent is a laid-back musician who Daria has a crush on for the first 3 seasons of the series.

The Fashion Club

Sandi Griffin

The bossy and sometimes manipulative president of the Fashion Club. Sandi is obsessed with popularity and maintaining her status as the group's leader.

Stacy Rowe

The insecure and eager-to-please secretary of the club. Stacy is often anxious and seeks approval from the other members, especially Sandi.

Tiffany Blum-Deckler

The slow-speaking and somewhat dim-witted member of the group. Tiffany is obsessed with her appearance and often agrees with whatever Sandi says.

Jodie Landon

An overachieving, intelligent student and one of the few people Daria respects. Jodie often feels pressure to be a perfect role model as one of the few black students at Lawndale High.

Kevin Thompson

The quarterback of Lawndale High's football team. He's the QB!

Michael "Mack" Mackenzie

The captain of the football team and Jodie's boyfriend. Mack is intelligent and level-headed. Oh and yeah, don't call him Mack Daddy!p>

Andrea

A goth girl who occasionally interacts with Daria and Jane. She's quiet and often keeps to herself.

Charles "Upchuck" Ruttheimer III

A sleazy and unsuccessful self-proclaimed ladies' man, known for his cheesy pick-up lines and overconfidentness. A person on reddit once called him a "ginger Beavis".

Lawndale High Staff

Ms. Angela Li

The paranoid and authoritarian principal of Lawndale High. She's obsessed with the school's reputation and security measures, often at the expense of education and student welfare.

Mr. Anthony DeMartino

The high-strung history teacher with a bulging eye, known for his explosive temper. He often becomes frustrated with his less intelligent students, particularly Kevin. My guy even STRANGLED Kevin!

Ms. Janet Barch

The man-hating science teacher, bitter from her divorce and quick to lash out at male students. She has a softer side for Mr. O'Neill, whom she dates.

Mr. Timothy O'Neill

The overly sensitive and naive English teacher who often tries to connect with students through awkward attempts at being "hip". He runs the self-esteem class and dates Ms. Barch. He is basically Mr. Van Driessen in another universe.

The economics teacher, often seen but rarely heard from in the series. She tends to be more level-headed than her colleagues.

Ms. Claire Defoe

The art teacher, who is supportive of Jane's artistic talents. She has a more relaxed and understanding approach to teaching compared to her colleagues.
